Our Local Breweries

The tasting rooms and breweries are a must! However, when it comes to craft beer, there are a few local watering holes that deserve an honorable mention! Picnic Social serves up great comfort food and a wide selection of locally brewed craft beers. Listed by as one of “2017’s Great American Beer Bars”, Blackback Pub is a cozy pub, a shrine not only to Ricky’s love of craft beer but also his love of fly fishing so be sure to get some tips on the local fishing hot spots. Twenty-five rotating handles, live music and great food welcome you to Tap 25! A great place in the village to gather with friends for an ice-cold brew. We like to celebrate our beer in Vermont, so when planning your trip consider the Vermont Brewers Festival and Stowe Brewers Festival in July!

The Alchemist.

The Alchemist Brewery in Waterbury is not open to the public but be sure to head on down to their new state of the art facility in Stowe to sample the best of the Alchemist’s brews, the Heady Topper. If any single IPA has caused the greatest commotion in the craft beer industry, it is the Heady Topper, a double India Pale Ale, named “America’s Most Coveted Beer”, “America’s Most Loved Craft Beer” and “The Best Beer in the World”!

Idletyme Brewing Co. (formerly known as Crop) makes its home in a converted 19th Century Blacksmith’s Shop located off Mountain Road in the heart of Stowe.
